Ha! Just reading that word in my title makes me crack up. The concept is all the same to me no matter how polite or blunt you word it...passing gas, letting it out, toot, fart, pfffft, heck even the word shart counts! Anyway, I am fortunate enough to have experienced many funny "farting" stories in my day. Some...dare I say it??? Yes, involved me. Others have happened to my close loved ones while I sat back as a witness. Today, however, had nothing to do with smelly tunes coming out of one's rear end. It merely had to do with reading the word. Let me explain.
I have been doing an activity for the past month that involves what I call Name Scramble. Each day, I pick a student's name and spell it on the board using magnetic letters. Then as a class, we unscramble the name and discover words within it. As an extension to this everyday activity, I had my early finishers write their name on the back of their paper and unscramble it to find new words.

Oh my gosh to make this even funnier, I've included a link of the definition for fart. If you click on the audio button, you can actually hear a robotic voice saying the word. It will just make you laugh even more.
I guess this is why I teach Kindergarten. I find the stupidest things ridiculously funny.
